A flood of free Kindle books no comments
There is a virtual flood of free ebooks at the Kindle Store at the moment. I have been adding them to my Free eBooks Page as I can, but you can also search through the stacks
So why this sudden onslaught of free? Not sure, but possibly Amazon is making Kindle editions of books free that were found being offered for free somewhere else. Books published in the Kindle Store with the Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) program “must be offered at or below price parity with competition, including physical book prices.” Last year Amazon made a bunch of Kindle books free for a while because they were available free at some other ebookseller but not at the Kindle Store. This led to some unhappy authors who apparently had not read the fine print in the KDP TOS.
