I thought it would be easier to view country by country details for the International Kindle if presented in a table format.

So far the experimental Kindle internet browser is only available in  Japan, Hong Kong and Mexico. In other countries where the Kindle is available with a wireless connection you will be able to access Wikipedia even though you don’t get an internet connection.

Kindle International ereaders sent to Australia will not include the US adapter and will need to charge via the USB connection, or purchase their own adapter.

Book prices include VAT where applicable.  There is a $2 charge to download an ebook to your Kindle ereader via Whispernet outside of the US.  This applies to new purchases and to books in your archive.  You can, of course, avoid this by downloading to your computer and then transferring to your Kindle ereader via USB.  Outside of the US the charge to transfer your documents to your Kindle via Whispernet is $0.99 per MB.  Again, you can avoid this by using the USB connection to transfer files to your Kindle ereader from your computer.  More information on file handling  on the international version of the Kindle may be found here.

Canadian Kindle ereader users can not use Whispernet to transfer personal documents.

Kindle for PC

Some countries that don’t yet get Kindle ereaders are able to access the Kindle Store and purchase books with the free Kindle for PC app.  Below is a list of these countries with the number of books available for each.

Kindle for iPhone, iPod Touch

Kindle for iPhone and iPod Touch is available in the following countries.  The differently colored country names are countries that do not yet get Kindle ereaders but can now access Kindle content with this app.
