47North is the seventh imprint from Amazon Publishing and will specialize in science fiction, fantasy and horror titles. The new imprint will launch with 15 books which will be available as Kindle books as well as in print and audio editions, both from Amazon and other national and independent booksellers. Besides new and original works, 47North (the name comes from the latitude coordinates of Seattle) will also publish previously published and out-of-print titles.
"Amazon customers have a huge appetite for science fiction, fantasy and horror books, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce readers to new and established voices in these genres," said Victoria Griffith, Publisher, Amazon Publishing, West Coast Group. "We are especially happy to have a diverse list at launch, and look forward to publishing across a wide range of subgenres."
