Amazon trying to create Netflix-like ebook service? no comments
Amazon is trying to convince publishers to let it launch a service with a yearly membership fee that would let members download and read a selection of ebooks without paying for the individual books according to a report in the Wall Street Journal. The WSJ says that the ebook lending service would be integrated into the Amazon Prime program, which currently entitles members to free two-day shipping and access to a selection of streamable movies and television programming for a $79 yearly fee.
