Kindle NYT subscriptions now include free access to NYTimes.com no comments
Back in March both Amazon and Barnes & Noble announced that readers who subscribe to the New York Times on their Kindle or Nook ereaders would soon be getting free access to the NYT website just like print subscribers do.
Today Amazon announced that this is now in effect. Kindle subscribers can now link their Kindle account to their NYTimes.com account here. According to Amazon, The New York Times for Kindle remains the bestselling newspaper at the Kindle Store.
I’ve yet to see anything indicating that subscribers to the Nook version of the NYT have had their promised free access put in place yet, but it should be forthcoming.
Update: B&N has made a similar announcement: Subscribers to the NYT on Nook ereaders will have free access to the newspaper’s website.
