Borders liquidation looking increasingly likely no comments
The future of the remaining Borders stores is looking increasingly grim. Negotiations with Direct Brands fell apart last week and unless another bidder steps forward by this coming Tuesday the company’s remaining assets will be sold to liquidators. The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Books-A-Million is in some sort of discussions with Borders to possibly acquire an undisclosed number of the ailing bookseller’s stores.
