Verizon is pushing the update out OTA to Xoom owners — my Xoom tablet is still waiting impatiently.
Update (5/16/2011): My Xoom received its update over the weekend. Most of the improvements appear to be behind the scenes — other than the resizable widgets (which is really nice, but I wondered why you could not resize the widgets when I first got my Xoom) there are no readily apparent visual changes. The browser does feel a little bit faster.
By the way, over the weekend I read more bad press about the Xoom filled with reports of problems the writer had. I don’t know if I’ve been exceptionally lucky with mine, but I’ve not seen the problems the writer spoke of (Android Market unusable due to constant crashing) and rarely now even get a forced close. I’m still very happy with the Xoom. I do wish Motorola Mobility would hurry up and get the microSD card supported though — they are looking bad and have lost sales due to this issue.
