Covers for the New Kindle 3 eReaders no comments
The new Kindle 3 ereader is smaller than the older generation, and so manufacturers will need to make a whole new line of cases and covers to fit it. The exception will be bag style cases, some of which may still fit – albeit a bit loosely.
M-Edge announced today that it will have more than
20 jackets, cases, stands and lights available for the Kindle 3 soon. M-Edge will also be introducing a few new styles of covers in a size to fit the Kindle 3.
The new designs include the Method Leather Portfolio, which is already available for the iPad; the Safari Jacket, made of Leopard-printed calf hair; and the Cambridge Jacket, a wool and leather jacket. The latter two don’t seem to have been released yet in any size.
There are, of course, the official Kindle 3 covers that will be available at the end of this month. There will be both a lighted ($59.99) and unlighted ($34.99) version available in a variety of colors.
The new Kindle 3 (or “Latest Generation” in Amazon’s confusing naming convention scheme) is apparently selling very well, thank you; I would expect to see a lot of new covers and cases available for it very quickly.
