iBooks and Zinio Apps Get Multimedia Updates 1 comment

Both the iBooks and Zinio Magazine apps saw new updates today that add audio and video capabilities, among other improvements.
The iBooks update (version 1.1.1) adds the following:
- Double-tap an image within a book to view it in greater detail
- Experience books that include audio and video.
- Enjoy substantial performance improvements when reading PDFs.
- Look-up definitions to English words inside books without a specified language.
- Addresses an issue that may have caused some book downloads to not complete.
- Includes many stability and performance improvements.
And for Zinio (version 1.6) we have the following improvements:
- New ability for publishers to create videos, music, and text inline the magazine pages.
- Inline viewing allows for videos to play within the page as opposed to launching a separate viewer.
- Scroll text inside the magazine page without tapping on the "Text" button.
- Faster loading of the app.
- Bug fixes.
