Sony Reader Store Adds Exclusive Content no comments
Sony recently announced that the Sony Reader Store would be getting a series of exclusive ebooks based on The Days of Our Lives daytime drama. From the press release:

Corday Productions, Inc. and Sony Pictures Consumer Products have joined forces with Sourcebooks, a leading independent publisher, to create Days of our Lives Publications, an innovative line of books based on the hit soap opera Days of our Lives. The book line launches today with the memoir The Days of our Lives: The Untold Story of One Family’s Dream and the True History of Days of our Lives written by Ken Corday, son of the show’s founders Ted and Betty Corday. The eBook will be available exclusively on the Reader Store for six months.
The book is the first insidermemoir of the family that created the show and have lead it for the past 45 years. Corday reveals the triumphs and tragedies behind the scenes over the years while delivering a very personal account of his family and the extended family of the Days cast and crew. The book will be followed this fall by a series of novels based on the show s characters as well as other titles.

Speaking of Sony and its ereaders, the May 2010 edition of Nikkei Electronics Asia takes apart both the Daily Edition and the Barnes & Noble nook and compares the manner in which the two ereaders are constructed as well as commenting on differences in usability and UI. An interesting read.
