iPad Covers, Cases and Skins no comments
The iPad has been out only a few days, and although quite a few companies have announced iPad covers and cases that will be available soon, so far the selection is pretty thin. There are a few iPad cases
iPad Skins
DecalGirl has about 50 different skins for the iPad already. These skins also come with
a matching wallpaper which continues the design over the screen. The iPad’s aluminum back looks nice but does not always feel really comfortable. While these high quality vinyl skins are not cushioned or padded, they definitely feel more comfortable and less slippery than the bare metal iPad back cover in my opinion. I have a DecalGirl skin on my netbook (and will be ordering one for my iPad) and I can say that they wear really well and after a bit of aging look like the natural case color of the device and not like a sticker or appliqué.
Update: DecalGirl has provided a discount code for a free upgrade to a matte/satin skin for any device: GOMATTE. Not sure when this expires.
iPad Cases
Targus for iPad
Targus has a couple of iPad cases which at the moment are still pre-order but should be available soon.
The Targus Crave Slipcase is made of stain and water resistant fabric with double foam padding for protection. The Crave is priced at $34.99.
The Targus Hughes Leather Portfolio Slipcase is leather with a soft twill lining. This case has a magnetic lining and is priced at $59.99.
Tuff-Luv iPad Case
The Napa Leather case
available on April 24. This one is made of leather and should be available in several colors. A nice feature of this case is the integrated stand which will come in handy for the iPad. Price is $59.99.

TrendyDigital has its waterproof WaterGuard Case
I’m sure that in the coming weeks we will see a bunch of new iPad covers so stay tuned.
The iPad also suffers from a lot of glare when used in bright light which makes an anti-glare screen protector a good investment as well. Most of the familiar companies making this type of product are still at the pre-order stage, but there is one available now by XGearlive. This should also help reduce fingerprints.
